Why I paint…

I’m an artist who returned to painting after a period of doubt and the slow work of learning to trust myself again. For a long time, it felt easier not to paint than to face my own voice, but eventually it became impossible to ignore. Painting is how I make sense of myself and the world, even when that process is not always easy.

I’m drawn to silence, nature, and what lives beneath the surface - the emotions, tensions, and quiet truths that can’t always be easily named. Some of my work carries a sense of stillness and unease, inviting a deeper look or a return to one’s own thoughts. Some of it comes from meadows, wildflowers, and the kind of beauty that brings comfort, softness, and hope.

Hope is an important part of my work. I want my paintings to bring something meaningful into a space, not only visually, but emotionally too. I believe art can transform an interior while also holding depth, presence, and something more lasting than mass-produced prints.

I was born in Poland and now live and work in the UK, carrying both places in my heart - the one that was mine first, and the one that became home. I think both, in different ways, continue to shape how I see, feel, and paint.
